ADNI Scholar, Dr. Victor Ekuta gave three presentations in the past few months on the following:
- “Breaking the Silence: Illuminating Health Disparities in Stroke and Post-Stroke Aphasia,” at the Penn Memory Center Didactics on April 1st, 2024.
- “Racial disparities in brain health: A Closer Examination of Alzheimer’s Disease Neuroimaging Biomarkers and Repetitive Head Impacts” at the Boston University Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center REC Scholars Symposium on June 4th, 2024.
- “Racial Disparities in Alzheimer’s Disease” virtually at the Celdara Medical High-Potential Entrepreneurs’ Fellowship Lecture Series on June 11th, 2024.
He also was featured on the Penn Memory Center website for his article titled, “Time is Brain: Lecanemab’s Promise and the Imperative for Diversified Alzheimer’s Clinical Trials,” on February 1st, 2024. See the post here.
The Harvard Public Health Review (HPHR), soon to be known as the Boston Congress of Public Health (BCPH) in August of 2024, awarded Dr. Ekuta a series of awards including the Best Blog Award, a Creativity and Provocation Award, and an Emerging Voice in Public Health Award. He was also selected as one of the BCPH 2023 40 under 40 Public Health Catalysts from the Boston Congress of Public Health.
