ADNI Scholar, Dr. Zahra Shirzadi, received a Postdoctoral Fellowship Award from the BrightFocus Foundation in April, 2023 for her proposal titled “Novel Tools to Dissect the Multi-Factorial Etiologies of White Matter Injury in Aging and Alzheimer’s Disease.”
Her application was the highest scored among all submissions, not only in the Postdoctoral Fellowship Program, but also in the Standard Award Program (out of a total 387 received applications) earning her a second award, the Dr. Edward H. Koo Postdoctoral Fellowship Award for Alzheimer’s Disease Research.
